There is a great potential for creativity in using digital technologies through engaging in multi-modal creation instead of continuing to have students complete only textual assignments. Since we are immersed in a culture of multimedia, it should be a consideration to incorporate it in our teaching practice. Inquiry-based constructivist learning pairs well with multimedia creation since learners can determine what combination of modes of communication can best express their message. Learners should be encouraged to embrace and experiment with representing in a vareity of forms.
